Job summary

K10 Apprenticeships Limited seeks a Fencing Installer for the Heathrow Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. You’ll install, maintain and repair fences to protect people and property, often on commercial or public infrastructure projects.

The role combines office work with visits to sites, requiring teamwork, safety awareness and a hands-on approach. You’ll learn on the Level 2 Fencing Installer course over 18 months, with college time and on-site training, starting between 07:00 and 08:00, and

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at GCSE Grade 3 / D or above, or Functional Skills at Entry 3 or above.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Willing to travel to different work sites and attend training days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing a range of fencing systems (timber, concrete, metal, panel).
• Prepare work areas by measuring, setting out and marking fence lines.
• Dig post holes and prepare foundations with hand tools/equipment.
• Assist with installing, levelling and securing posts, panels and gates.
• Follow drawings and safety guidelines to meet required standards.
• Work on construction sites outdoors and maintain teamwork and site discipline.
