Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Henderson, KY is seeking a Groundsperson to perform outdoor vegetation management and brush clearing on a full-time basis. You will work from the ground using hand tools and chainsaws, ensuring safe work practices and coordinating with the crew.

Taxes and overtime may apply; benefits including health insurance and a 401K option are available. A valid driver0s license or CDL is preferred, and a background check/drug screen will be required as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or education equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in vegetation management preferred.
• Active driver0s license or CDL preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug screen as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and help enforce rules on each job site.
• Clear undergrowth from right-of-way using handsaws, pole saws, pruners, and related tools.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Operate and service trucks and equipment; report major repairs to Foreperson.
• Set up/break down road signs; flag traffic to protect workers and the public.
• Perform storm-work duties as needed.
