Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Groundsperson to support vegetation management projects. The role involves ground-based clearing, debris cleanup, and assisting with storm restoration work, requiring physical fitness and a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities include using hand tools and saws, loading gear, setting up signs, and maintaining equipment in a safe, orderly manner during long shifts. Background checks and drug screening may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs, use saws and pruners on uneven terrain.
• Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Must possess Driver’s License and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and keep work area clear of debris.
• Clear undergrowth from right-of-way using hand tools and gas-powered saws.
• Load/unload logs and debris; feed brush into chipper; assist with storm restoration work as needed.
• Operate and service trucks and equipment; report major repairs to Foreperson.
• Set up road signs and flag traffic to protect workers and the public.
