Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Groundsperson to support field crews by performing ground-based vegetation management, brush clearing, and site clean-up. The role requires driving and operating basic equipment, adhering to safety guidelines, and coordinating with the crew on job sites.

You'll handle loading/unloading, managing debris, and protecting the public by following traffic control measures. A valid driver's license and ability to travel for storm restoration work are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have physical strength to drag heavy limbs and operate tools on uneven terrain.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions with safety as a priority.
• Ability to hear verbal instructions from a distance and follow PPE rules.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must maintain a valid Driver's License for driving assignments.

Responsibilities

• Clear brush and trees from ground level using hand tools and power saws.
• Load/unload trucks with logs and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs; flag traffic to protect workers.
• Drive trucks or operate equipment as assigned; perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain clean, organized equipment and report major repairs.
• Support storm work and travel as needed.
