Job summary

Volunteer Properties is seeking a Maintenance/Landscaping associate to maintain the appearance and curb appeal of the apartment community in Tennessee. This role ensures outdoor areas, common spaces, and amenities remain well-kept, safe, and welcoming for residents and guests.

The candidate will perform daily property walks, oversee landscaping vendors, and assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal and snow/ice control. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

• Basic knowledge of landscaping equipment and maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, breezeways, stairwells, and amenity spaces.
• Perform daily property walks to remove trash, debris, and litter from grounds and landscaped areas.
• Oversee landscaping vendors and provide assistance, as needed.
• Assist with seasonal landscaping tasks such as leaf removal, mulching, and snow/ice removal, if requested.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure dumpster areas are clean and orderly.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or property damage to the maintenance team and Community Manager.
• Assist the maintenance team with minor tasks and unit turns as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times.
• All other tasks, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic knowledge and ability to operate landscaping equipment and maintenance tools


• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions


• Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Good communication and time management skills


• Must be able to provide proof of valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportatio
