UDC, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Johnson City, Tennessee, is seeking a dependable Groundskeeper/Porter to keep our community clean, safe, and well-maintained. This role supports the maintenance team with daily upkeep, light repairs, and unit turns while helping create a great environment for residents.

Based in Johnson City, you will maintain grounds and common areas, assist with make-ready tasks, monitor safety, and support basic maintenance tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks (helpful but not required).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the community, including grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Pick up trash, debris, and pet waste daily to keep the property looking its best.
• Assist with make-ready tasks for vacant units (cleaning, painting, minor repairs).
• Complete minor maintenance tasks and service requests when assigned.
• Support preventative maintenance efforts across the property.
• Help maintain pool areas, including skimming, basic chemical checks, and general upkeep.
• Replace light bulbs, air filters, and perform other basic maintenance tasks.
• Assist with light plumbing and electrical work under supervision.
• Monitor the community for safety hazards and report issues promptly.
• Keep maintenance shops, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized.
• Distribute notices to residents as needed.
• Support the team with general daily tasks and special projects
