Job summary

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Groundskeeper to care for grounds, shrubs, and plants, including irrigation maintenance and repairs under supervision. Duties include mowing, planting, trimming, spraying, and operating basic equipment.

Requires at least 3 months of landscape maintenance experience and a valid Florida Class E driver's license; TWIC and Seaport credentials may be required. A Pesticide/Herbicide license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three months of landscape maintenance experience.
• Valid Florida Class E Driver's License.
• TWIC must be secured within 60 days of employment.
• Valid Seaport Business Purpose Credential required for duration of employment.
• Pesticide/Herbicide license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass; plants and transplants shrubs; fertilizes lawn and plants.
• Trims bushes and trees; sprays lawns and shrubs to control pests.
• Operates power mowers, trimmers, sprayers and other tools.
• Performs irrigation system maintenance and repairs.
• Loads and unloads soil, sand, sod, rock, and other ground covering materials as required.
• Performs related work as assigned.
