Job summary

The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain exterior grounds and designated exterior areas, ensuring they remain clean, safe, and attractive for residents and staff.

You will perform power washing, lawn and plant care, weed control, seasonal frost protection, and routine maintenance across campus, following established policies and procedures and contributing to a positive living environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least an eighth grade education; high school diploma preferred.
• At least one year proven experience as laborer, gardener, groundskeeper, or similar.
• Be well organized, can work with limited direction, and plan duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of garages and power washes debris.
• Promotes safety of residents and employees while working.
• Controls mold on exterior surfaces (e.g., pool area).
• Rakes the tennis court daily.
• Cleans main entrances daily (Security, ALF, SNF, Cypress, Oak, Palm).
• Power washes entrances, doorways, sidewalks and curbs.
• Assists with hurricane preparation procedures as required.
• Handles chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Attends mandatory in-service training and follows policies.

Position Summary:

The Groundskeeper is responsible for keeping exterior grounds, and specified exterior areas clean and sanitary, and performing other duties as assigned in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains the cleanliness of all garages except for the Palm building – blowing debris, power washing
• Promotes the safety of all residents and employees while working
• Controls of mold on GPR exterior surfaces (ex: swimming pool area)
• Rakes the tennis court daily
• Maintains the cleanliness of all main entrances daily, such as Security, ALF, SNF, Cypress, Oak, and Palm buildings and other areas as needed or requested
• Power washes club home lanais as needed
• Cleans Center Lake railing
• Conducts weed control as needed
• Cleans of interior courtyards (SNF and ALF)
• Trims and feeds select plants under supervision
• Waters exterior plants as needed
• Assists in protecting plants with frost cloth
• Assists with keeping Member gardens tidy
• Completes campus-wide power washing including, but limited to:
  
  • Entrances
  • Doorways
  • All sidewalks
  • All curbs
  • All parking areas in garages
  • All gazebos
  • All Courtyards – Central, SNF. Memory
  • Pool lanai and deck
  • Loading dock
• Assists with Hurricane preparation procedures as required
• Handles chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly
• Attends mandatory in-service training as required
• Is expected to understand and follow all regulatory and facility policies

Qualifications:

1. Must have at least an eighth (8th) grade education. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
2. At least one (1) year proven experience as a laborer, farmer, gardener, florist helper, groundskeeper, or similar work involving general laborer duties which may include the planting and maintenance of vegetation, landscaping duties, nursery inspections, or pesticide applications
3. Must be well organized and can work with limited direction, take initiative, and can plan and carry out responsibilities, organizing own schedule and duties to complete responsibilities
