Spire Hospitality LLC in Lake Placid, NY is seeking a dependable Maintenance Groundskeeper to keep hotel grounds clean, safe, and welcoming. You will perform litter cleanup, snow removal, parking lot maintenance, and assist with moving equipment and supplies.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and prior hotel maintenance experience preferred. OSHA/chemical safety knowledge is a plus; join a team offering paid time off, benefits, and opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school or General Maintenance/Technician certification is a plus.
• Valid Driver's license required.
• One year of maintenance/repair experience in hotels preferred.
• OSHA Safety and Chemical Standards knowledge preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs litter and debris cleanup around all facilities and properly disposes of refuse items.
• Prioritizes daily grounds tasks established by supervisor/manager for self and others.
• Snow removal, salting, and maintenance of safe conditions in parking areas and walkways.
• Loads and unloads trucks and moves supplies using wheelbarrows or hand trucks.
• Assists with safely moving heavy machinery and equipment as needed.
• Completes daily work order log documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, hours worked and materials used.

This role will maintain high standards of functionality & cleanliness throughout the hotel grounds which includes but is not limited to pools, property, parking areas, buildings and equipment.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs litter and debris clean up around all facilities and properly disposes of refuse items
• Prioritize daily grounds tasks established by supervisor/manager to self and other employees as required
• Snow removal, salting, and maintenance of safe conditions in parking areas and walkways
• Loads and unloads trucks and other conveyances to include moving supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows and/or hand trucks
• Assists with safely moving heavy pieces of machinery and equipment as needed
• Responsible for completing daily work order log documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, to include work performed, materials used, and hours worked on each assigned work order.

Physical Demands

• Lift, push, pull, rotate 50 lbs or more
• Manual dexterity to operate and grasp tools
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Standing and walking up to a full 8 hours a day

Education

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Trade school or General Maintenance/Technician certification a plus

Wage: $22.00/ hour

Experience

• Valid Driver's license required
• One year of experience in general maintenance and repair work at hotels preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA Safety and Chemical Standards preferred
