Job summary

Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa in Bedford, PA seeks a team member to ensure the hotel property is well maintained and reflects an image of outstanding quality. This role is self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision.

You will perform outdoor maintenance, operate power tools, follow safety procedures, and support guests with a friendly, professional demeanor while maintaining cleanliness and asset protection.

Qualifications

• Experience as groundskeeper or similar outdoor maintenance role.
• Ability to interact with guests in a friendly, outgoing manner.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a dynamic workload.
• Stamina to stand/walk for extended periods and lift moderate to heavy objects.
• Comfort with safety procedures, PPE, and ladder safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean outdoor hotel property (sidewalks, drives, parking lot).
• Keep hotel property in good condition.
• Understand Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
• Open and close work requests.
• Use equipment (leaf blower, power washer) to complete duties.
• Follow safety policies; report accidents and unsafe conditions; complete safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance and protect company assets.

Overview

This team member is responsible for ensuring the hotel property is well maintained and reflects an image of outstanding quality. This individual is self-motivated and has the ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all outdoor hotel property (i.e. sidewalk, drives, parking lot).
• Keep the hotel property in good condition.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
• Open and close work requests.
• Use moderate to heavy equipment to complete duties as assigned, i.e. leaf blower, power washer, etc.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a groundskeeper preferred.
• Ability to assist all guests with a friendly and outgoing demeanor
• Ability or prioritize and self-manage assigned work.
• Excellent organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload in a dynamic environment.
• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate to heavy weight without assistance.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
• Responds quickly to sounds. Moves safely over uneven terrain. Identify and respond to dangerous situations.
• Safely climb ladders while carrying moderate to heavy weight. Wear personal protective equipment when required.
• Interior of hotel and in all areas of the property.
• Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
• Exposure to various cleaning chemicals.
• Power tools and general engineering tools.
