Job summary

Greystar is seeking a diligent maintenance technician to uphold the community’s grounds, amenities, and curb appeal in Houston. You will support the service team, perform routine maintenance, and assist in turnover for vacants while ensuring safety standards.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, physical capability for varied tasks, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and ensure all common areas and amenities are neat and free of litter at all times.
• Removes trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to making-ready and maintains storage areas.
• Completes assigned minor and routine service requests and assists the make-ready specialist in the turn process.
• Changes all locks per property policy and ensures pool area gates function according to codes and safety standards.
• Distributes notices and communications to residents as necessary.
• Informs supervisors of hazards or potentially dangerous situations for residents and staff.
• Demonstrates customer service by treating residents with respect and addressing questions and complaints.
• Follows Greystar safety policies and attends required trainings.
