Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain hospital grounds, landscaping, shrubbery, and parking areas. This role requires basic knowledge of landscaping, the ability to operate equipment, and reliable communication with staff.

Shift is 4am - 12:30pm, with duties across maintenance tasks as assigned. Responsibilities include mowing, pruning, edging, weed control, fertilizing, watering, and chemical spraying.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Sufficient experience to acquire a general knowledge of landscaping and horticulture or a minimum of two years experience in using and minor repair of grounds maintenance equipment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Mows, prunes, edges, weeds, fertilizes, waters and chemically sprays landscaping.
• Operate and maintain hospital grounds equipment; perform preventative maintenance.
• Assemble and maintain sprinkler systems; install landscape elements.
• Maintain parking areas and grounds, including debris removal and minor asphalt/curb repairs.
• Assist in maintaining other areas as directed and perform duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate landscaping equipment to include powermowers, edgers, pruning equipment, spraying equipment, etc.
• Maintains hospital grounds and equipment including:
• cleans hospital grounds and parking areas of debris and litter
• mows, prunes, edges, weeds, fertilizes, waters and chemically sprays landscaping
• repairs parking lot pavement areas including: minor asphalt repair and curb repair
• Performs maintenance on ground equipment including:
• operates landscaping equipment
• repairs and maintains landscaping equipment: changes oil, plugs, and belts
• performs preventative maintenance
• Assembles and maintains landscaping sprinkler system
• Install landscapes including plants, trees, shrubberyand turf
• Assist in performing maintenance of other areas including: cleaning, repairing, etc., as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned
