Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a dependable Grounds Keeper to maintain hospital grounds, remove trash, and keep areas clear of debris and animals.

You will operate and maintain the Automatic Lawn Sprinkler system, verify irrigation controllers, and perform groundskeeping in areas not covered by the Landscaping Contract.

Winter duties include snow and ice removal; must have a high school diploma, vocational training preferred, and at least 20 years old to operate vehicles.

Qualifications

• Education: High school education or equivalent.
• Prefer Vocational Education in Grounds Maintenance.
• Experience: Prefer two years experience in grounds maintenance for facility with 10+ acres.
• Additional Requirements: Must be at least 20 years old to operate vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Keeps hospital grounds clear of trash and debris.
• Keeps hospital grounds free of animals and nests.
• Operates and maintains Automatic Lawn Sprinkler system.
• Verifies operation of irrigation controllers.
• Performs groundskeeping in non-contracted areas.
• Operates and maintains lawn care tools and equipment.
• Ensures equipment is in good operating condition.
• Removes snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots in winter.

• Operates and maintains Automatic Lawn Sprinkler system.

• Verifies operation of the Program Controllers.

• Performs groundskeeping duties in areas not covered under Landscaping Contract.

• Operates and maintains Lawn Care tools and equipment.

• Verifies that equipment and tools are in proper operational condition.

• Removes snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots during winter season.
