Job summary

Steward Health Care is seeking a Grounds Keeper to maintain an aesthetically pleasing outdoor space on hospital grounds. The role includes lawn care, edging, trimming, debris removal, and general maintenance of landscaping equipment.

Responsibilities cover mowing, edging, weed trimming, trash pickup, power washing, plant watering, mulching and fertilizing, as well as curb painting. High school diploma or GED required.

• Maintain lawns including planting, fertilizing, soil conditions, mulching, and applying pesticides.
• Operate and maintain garden and landscaping equipment.
• Paint curbs and parking lot stripes as assigned.
• Perform other maintenance duties as needed.

• Moving Lawns
• Edging lawns
• Trimming weeds/grass from parking lots
• Blowing debris from sidewalks/parking lots
• Picking up trash from hospital grounds including the dumpster area
• Emptying outside trash cans
• Using power washer to clean sidewalks, parking areas, loading dock, dumpster area
• Trimming hedges
• Watering plants
• Maintaining lawns including planting, fertilizing, soil conditions, mulching, and applying pesticides
• Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment
• Painting curbs and parking lot stripes as assigned
• Other maintenance duties that may be assigned

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• High School Graduate or GED required
