Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Groundsperson to support a utility vegetation management crew. You will perform ground-based work, clear brush, and assist with debris removal on job sites, requiring a valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel for storm restoration when needed.

You'll operate hand tools and light equipment, follow safety protocols, and participate in routine maintenance of trucks and gear, contributing to efficient, safe project execution in various outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Must have valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground-based vegetation control and debris removal as directed.
• Load and unload logs, brush, and debris; feed into brush chipper.
• Clear brush and trees using handsaws, pole saws, pruners, and related tools.
• Set up road signs and flag traffic to protect workers and the public.
• Drive trucks or operate other equipment as assigned; perform basic maintenance.
