Job summary

XKIG is hiring a Groundsperson to support the crew by performing ground-based work, clearing brush and trees, and assisting with job-site cleanup. The role emphasizes safe practices, awareness of surroundings, and physical endurance for outdoor work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities include operating tools like chainsaws and pruners, loading debris, setting up road signs, and assisting with storm restoration tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility vegetation management or related fields preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and enforce them on site
• Clear undergrowth from right-of-way using hand tools
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush and debris
• Set up and break down road signs as directed
• Flag traffic to protect workers and the public
• Drive truck or operate equipment as assigned
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment
• Storm work duties as needed
