Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician to support on-site operations and ensure a positive resident experience. You will maintain the grounds, manage exterior spaces, and participate in seasonal tasks to uphold a high standard of appearance.

The role requires physical outdoor work, compliance with dress code, and strong communication with residents and teammates. Compensation starts at $16.63 per hour with opportunities for advancement and benefits.

Qualifications

• Snow/ice removal on walks, driveways, and parking areas during winter; spread salt as needed
• Work outdoors in extreme temperatures (above 90°F or below 32°F)
• Lift minimum 20 lbs and push/pull up to 80 lbs
• Irrigation experience is a plus
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code
• Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers
• Basic computer skills; comfortable with apps and software
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• General upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community
• Maintain parking lots, grounds around buildings, corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms
• Collect and remove trash as needed
• Weed beds with appropriate tools
• Monitor irrigation to ensure proper watering of grass areas
• Repair or replace sprinkler heads and lines as required
• Report unhealthy lawns, trees, shrubs, and plants to management
• Edge around trees and landscape borders for neat appearance
• Rake grounds and blow/sweep sidewalks and parking lots as required
• Take on additional duties as assigned by supervisor
