Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician in Columbia, SC to support on-site operations and ensure a positive resident experience. You will perform grounds upkeep, manage irrigation, and assist with seasonal tasks while upholding safety and appearance standards.

The role offers on-site work with opportunities for advancement, a comprehensive benefits package, and a starting wage of $15.63 per hour, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

Ability to shovel snow and spread salt during snow season.
Ability to work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Lift at least 20 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds.
Experience in irrigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

General upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
Maintain parking lots and grounds around buildings.
Collect and remove trash as needed.
Weeding of beds and edging around trees and borders.
Monitor irrigation to ensure adequate watering.
Report unhealthy plants to management.
Assist with raking and sweeping sidewalks and lots.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
