Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons in Wichita, KS is seeking a Grounds Technician to join our on-site operations team to maintain the appearance and safety of our apartment community. You will perform landscaping tasks, manage irrigation and reporting, and support residents with a positive experience.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures, and reliable transportation. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to shovel snow and spread salt during winter.
• Ability to work outdoors in temperatures above 90°F or below 32°F.
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds.
• Able to effectively and professionally communicate with residents and co-workers.
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning software and apps.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
• Upkeep on parking lots, grounds surrounding buildings, corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms as applicable.
• Collect trash as needed and manage yard waste.
• Weed landscape beds and edge borders for neat appearance.
• Monitor irrigation systems and repair sprinkler heads as required.
• Report unhealthy lawn, trees, or plants to management.
• Rake grounds and sweep sidewalks and parking areas.
