Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician to join our on-site operations team in Grand Rapids, MI. You will help maintain the apartment community, including lawns, sidewalks, and common areas, while supporting residents with a positive experience.

Responsibilities include irrigation monitoring, landscaping upkeep, trash removal, and assisting with snow/ice. Prior irrigation experience is a plus; a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good communication with residents and colleagues.
• Able to operate basic software or apps as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall cleanliness and upkeep of the apartment community.
• Care for grounds, parking areas, corridors, and laundry/mechanical rooms.
• Collect and remove trash as needed; weed garden beds.
• Monitor irrigation; adjust sprinkler heads and lines as required.
• Report unhealthy plants or irrigation issues to management.
• Edge trees and landscape borders for neat appearance.
• Sweep or blow sidewalks and lots; assist with snow/ice as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
