Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician to join our on-site operations team at Mallard Bay Apartments, Crown Point, IN. You will help maintain the community grounds, assist with irrigation, and ensure a positive resident experience.

Responsibilities include upkeep of lawns, beds, and common areas, reporting plant health issues, and assisting with seasonal tasks. Reliable transportation and ability to work outdoors are required; irrigation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds.
• Able to work outdoors in hot or cold temperatures.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Irrigation experience is a plus.
• Strong communication with residents and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general up-keep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
• Care for parking lots and grounds surrounding buildings.
• Weed beds and manage irrigation system as needed.
• Report any lawn, tree, or plant health issues to management.
• Edge trees and landscape borders; sweep sidewalks and parking lots.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
