Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician to join the on-site team at Rivers Edge Apartments in Waterford, MI. You will maintain the grounds, manage irrigation, and support residents to ensure a positive living experience.

The role requires outdoor work in varied temperatures, physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs (and push/pull up to 80 lbs), and reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to shovel snow and spread salt during winter.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• Lift minimum 20 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds.
• Irrigation experience is a plus.
• Maintain a professional appearance and dress code.
• Communicate effectively with residents and teammates.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn software.
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• General upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
• Upkeep of parking lots, surrounding grounds, corridors, stairs, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms.
• Collect and remove trash as needed.
• Weeding beds with appropriate tools.
• Monitor irrigation system to ensure proper watering.
• Repair or replace sprinkler heads and lines as required.
• Report unhealthy lawn, trees, or shrubs to management.
• Edge around trees and landscape borders for neatness.
• Rake grounds and sweep sidewalks and parking lots as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
