Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician to join our on-site operations team and help support a positive experience for residents. You will maintain the grounds, keep common areas clean, and assist with landscape upkeep.

Requirements include the ability to shovel snow, work in extreme temperatures, lift 20 pounds, and communicate professionally with residents. Irrigation experience is a plus, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to shovel snow and spread salt during winter.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• Lift at least 20 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds.
• Irrigation experience is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Communicate professionally with residents and co-workers.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
• Upkeep on parking lots, grounds surrounding buildings, corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms.
• Collect and remove trash as needed.
• Weed beds and edge landscape borders.
• Monitor irrigation systems and repair sprinkler heads as required.
• Report any unhealthy lawn, trees, shrubs, and plants to management.
• Rake grounds and sweep sidewalks and parking lots as required.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
