Job summary

Bell Partners is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep our communities clean and welcoming in Charlotte, NC. You will perform daily grounds upkeep, building exterior care, gutter cleaning, flowerbeds, mowing, and light maintenance tasks under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager.

You should be at least 18, with a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of grounds keeping/landscaping experience in multi-family properties. HVAC/EPA certs may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in grounds keeping in a multi-family environment.
• 2+ years of experience in landscaping.
• HVAC/EPA certifications may be required in communities, based on staffing levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds of the assigned property.
• Maintain cleanliness outside each building and the grounds surrounding each building.
• Maintain a uniform landscaped look by picking up debris around buildings, common areas, and breezeways.
• Clean out building gutters.
• Plant and tend to flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs; trim, mow lawns; apply fertilizer and insecticides; use pest control equipment.
• Follow procedures for maintenance of tools and equipment (lubricating, sharpening, repairs).
• Clean and remove trash.
• May perform pool maintenance duties.
• Shovel snow when necessary.
• Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup.
