Boyne Mountain Resort is seeking a hands-on Grounds Team member to maintain the resort’s pristine outdoor spaces. This role supports lawn care, planting, irrigation, and seasonal landscape maintenance to ensure guest areas look their best.

You will work outdoors daily, with lifting and physical activity, in a team-oriented environment guided by core values. Benefits include season passes and employee discounts, with an emphasis on safety and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Enjoys working outdoors in any weather.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Physically demanding role with lifting up to 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Care for resort grounds with long-term health and appearance in mind.
• Maintain irrigation and lawn health; monitor equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Represent a positive, can-do attitude for guests and team members.
• Mow, edge, trim lawns and beds; use hand tools and equipment.
• Remove litter, rake debris, and keep walkways guest-ready.
• Identify and safely remove hazardous tree limbs.
• Other duties as assigned by Grounds Supervisor and Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Long-Term Thinking - Care for the resort grounds with an eye toward long-term health and appearance — planting grass, shrubs, and bushes; applying fertilizer to enhance growth; pruning trees and shrubs to keep the landscape thriving for seasons to come.
• Excellence in Execution - Maintain Boyne Mountain's irrigation systems, ensuring lawns, plants, and landscaping are properly watered and healthy. Monitor and perform minor repairs on groundskeeping equipment so nothing sits broken and forgotten.
• Attitude is Everything - You're often one of the first faces a guest sees on property. You take pride in your work and bring a positive, can-do energy to the job every day — whether the sun is shining or the weather has other ideas.
• Cut lawns using hand, power, and riding mowers; trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
• Use hand tools and landscaping equipment to maintain and improve the appearance of resort grounds.
• Remove litter, rake debris, pull weeds, and backpack-blow walkways to keep all areas clean and guest-ready.
• Identify and safely remove tree limbs that pose a safety hazard.
• Other duties as assigned by the Grounds Supervisor and Superintendent.

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You genuinely enjoy working outdoors and don't mind putting in the work whatever the weather brings.
• You're available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• You hold a valid driver's license.
• You're comfortable with a physically demanding job, including occasional lifting of 50+ pounds.
• You take pride in the details — a clean edge, a healthy shrub, a walkway that looks like nobody even had to think about it.
