Job summary

Boyne Mountain Resort is seeking a Lift Operations Supervisor to lead the lifts operations team from morning through last ride, ensuring safety, efficiency, and top guest experiences on every run. You will collaborate closely with Mountain Experience leadership and frontline staff to maintain service standards in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and supervisory experience in hospitality, outdoor recreation, or a related field — experience in ski industry mountain operations is a strong plus.
  • Friendly, personable and empathetic leadership and people-first approach.
  • Knowledge of Boyne Mountain Resort offerings (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks and adapt when plans change.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Long-Term Thinking - Assist with scheduling and daily administrative tasks with an eye toward keeping operations efficient, well-staffed, and prepared for weather or mountain conditions.
  • Excellence in Execution - Perform regular inspections of lifts and scanning operations, ensure daily operational documentation is completed accurately, and uphold brand standards to meet guest expectations on every run.
  • Attitude is Everything - Maintain composure in winter operations and project positive energy to keep the team grounded and guests confident.
  • Develop Great People - Provide timely guidance to lift operations team members for safety, guest service, and professional growth.
  • Serve First - Monitor and support daily lift operations across the mountain during high-volume periods or emergencies to assist guests and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Mountain Experience leadership team.

  • Serve First - Actively monitor and support daily lift operations, responding quickly to various locations across the mountain during high-volume periods or emergencies to ensure guests and team members are supported.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Mountain Experience leadership team.
Qualifications
  • You have a high school diploma and previous supervisory experience in hospitality, outdoor recreation, or a related field — experience in ski industry mountain operations is a strong plus.
  • You can ski or ride at an intermediate level or higher.
  • You're friendly, personable, and empathetic. You lead with people in mind, whether that's a team member who needs guidance or a guest who needs help.
  • You have a solid knowledge of Boyne Mountain Resort and its offerings (preferred), and a genuine passion for winter sports and the outdoors.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • You're detail-oriented, organized, and able to quickly prioritize tasks and adapt when the plan changes.
  • You're available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
