Job summary

Vail Resorts in South Lake Tahoe is seeking an entry level Maintenance Crew member for the winter season. The role offers a great way to learn maintenance and resort operations with exposure to painting, landscaping and base area upkeep.

The position is winter seasonal 2026/2027 with both full-time and part-time hours available, and housing options for eligible applicants. You will work outdoors in seasonal conditions and support other resort operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to stay safe and protect the team.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in seasonal environments.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and perform physical work for long periods and work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, landscaping, and base area upkeep.
• Provide support to other resort operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Maintenance Crew team performs critical operations in the base area to deliver an incredible arrival experience. This entry level position isa great opportunityto learn new skills and gain knowledge in many aspects of maintenance and resort operations.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr
• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available
• Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
• Housing Availability: Yes

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in a variety of maintenance work which can include but not limited to painting, landscaping, clearing of base area of weather elements and other general maintenance tasks
• Provide additional support to other resort operations
• Other duties as assigned

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr - $23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
