Job summary

Sun Communities is hiring a Groundskeeper to maintain community grounds, perform landscaping tasks, and assist with snow removal as needed. The role emphasizes courteous, responsive resident service and upholding curb appeal standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 6 months groundskeeping/maintenance experience, ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures, and a valid drivers license.

Qualifications

• 6 months in previous groundskeeping experience in the apartment or manufactured housing industry (Preferred)
• 6 months in demonstrated knowledge and experience in general grounds maintenance techniques (Required)
• Ability to endure fluctuations in temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
• Ability to respond to business needs after normal business hours.
• Ability to work an on-call schedule
• Must have a valid drivers license

Responsibilities

• Ensures community is presentable at all times and adheres to curb appeal standards (Essential)
• Maintains community vehicle and equipment (Essential)
• Picks up trash/debris from common areas daily and empties containers as needed (Essential)
• Inspects irrigation system regularly and repairs as needed (Essential)
• Maintains grounds: weed control, planting, mulching, trimming shrubs (Essential)
• Follows safety procedures while performing duties
• Reports maintenance issues to the manager
• Other duties and special projects as assigned
