Job summary

Waukesha County Technical College is seeking a Groundskeeper to perform grounds maintenance, snow removal, and event setups on campus. You will also assist with mailroom operations and fleet equipment maintenance.

Shift is first shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with an anticipated start date on or before November 1, 2026. Strong teamwork and reliable availability are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year or more in grounds maintenance or related field.
• Associate or technical degree in horticulture or turf grass preferred.
• Experience in higher education, golf course, resort, or hospitality setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mowing, weeding, pruning, planting, and general grounds maintenance.
• Pick up litter and maintain cleanliness of parking lots and sidewalks.
• Operate trucks, wheel loaders, tractors, forklifts, and lawn mowers for grounds tasks.
• Participate in snow removal and ice control, including salting sidewalks.
• Provide minor maintenance on fleet vehicles and grounds equipment.
• Assist with events setup and room/space arrangements as needed.
• Assist with inventory of grounds supplies and equipment.
