Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is seeking a Groundskeeper to perform year-round landscaping and grounds maintenance across campus. The role involves mowing, trimming, seeding, pruning, fertilizer application, litter removal, and operating grounds equipment under supervision.

Normal hours are 6 am–2 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts for snow removal. The job requires a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain UW

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma
• Ability to attain UW System driver authorization within first week of employment
• Willingness and ability to work overtime hours for snow removal or other special events

Responsibilities

• Perform year-round landscaping and grounds maintenance: mow, trim, rake, edge, aerate, water turf, plant and prune beds, and operate grounds equipment.
• Support snow and ice removal, litter/trash control, and safe vehicle operation as needed.
• Follow safety rules and participate in required training and drills.
