Job summary

The WCTC Corporate Training Center is seeking a Groundskeeper to support campus maintenance, outdoor upkeep, and event setup. This role involves operating heavy equipment, performing snow removal, and maintaining grounds while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, some related experience, and the ability to work a varied schedule including early mornings during winter. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional grounds maintenance and landscaping.
• Ability to read sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and team.
• Willingness to be on call 24/7 for events, maintenance, security, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds-related maintenance such as mowing, weeding, pruning, planting, and grounds cleanup.
• Remove trash and recyclables to keep lots and sidewalks clear.
• Operate vehicles and equipment including trucks, wheel loaders, tractors, forklifts, mowers, and utility vehicles.
• Participate in snow removal and ice control, including plowing and salting.
• Maintain fleet vehicles and grounds equipment, perform inspections and fueling.
• Assist with capital grounds projects and event room setups.
• Lock/unlock buildings and monitor security systems.
