Job summary

Army NAF on Joint Base Lewis-McChord seeks a vigilant caregiver for Child and Youth Services. You will assist with grounds and building upkeep, ensure safe evacuations, and document drills for children and youth while operating in varied indoor/outdoor environments.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, English communication skills, and a valid driver's license to operate a 15-passenger vehicle. Expect irregular hours and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to communicate in English to perform duties safely.
• Experience performing the duties described in this job.
• Requires a valid state driver's license to operate a 15 passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain entrances and exits free of debris and sidewalks clear of ice or snow.
• Perform upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures and utilities.
• Conduct monthly bus evacuations with children and youth and document drills.
• Notify supervisor of hazards, malfunctioning equipment or damaged materials.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather; drive outside in various conditions; kitchen environment exposure.
