Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) Child and Youth Services at Fort Leonard Wood seeks a dedicated staff member to perform a range of grounds and facility upkeep duties on a military installation.

The role includes safety and drill responsibilities, irregular hours, and duties that span indoors and outdoors in varied weather. You will assist with maintenance, safety procedures, and on-base operations to support youth programs.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate in English to perform duties safely.
• Experience performing grounds/buildings upkeep tasks.
• Requires a valid state driver's license to operate vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor grounds maintenance to keep entrances/exits clear and sidewalks ice-free.
• Handle upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures, and utilities as needed.
• Ensure children know how to evacuate the bus; document drills monthly.
• Notify supervisor of hazards, malfunctioning equipment, or safety concerns.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather; may drive on base and in kitchen areas.
