Job summary

Greystar in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community’s physicals and curb appeal in top condition and to support the service team. The role includes grounds upkeep, make-ready prep, safety compliance, and basic repairs at an on-site property.

You will be responsible for inspecting grounds, handling trash and turnover tasks, assisting with turn processes, and ensuring locks and pool gates meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• Incumbents must have valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Incumbents must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods; bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the community to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and ensures common areas are neat and free of litter.
• Removes trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to makes-ready, transfers trash as applicable, and cleans storage areas.
• Completes routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor/Community Manager, assists the make-ready specialist in the turn process.
• Changes all locks per policy and ensures pool area gates meet codes and safety standards.
• Distributes notices and communications to residents as necessary.
• Informs supervisors of any hazard or potentially dangerous situation for residents and team members.
• Demonstrates customer service by treating residents with respect and addressing questions and complaints about maintenance services.
• Complies with safety policies and completes required training; reports accidents promptly.
