Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Groundman in the United States, Tennessee region. You will assist the crew with building, repairing, and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems, reporting to the Foreman.

The role requires handling heavy labor, safety focus, and willingness to travel for out-of-state assignments. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining excavation equipment, working outdoors in various weather, and supporting outages and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Available for on-call rotations, outages and overtime.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction and maintenance of underground distribution systems.
• Install and repair underground facilities and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment such as backhoes and trenchers.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and support outages or emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Inspect PPE and understand proper PPE usage.
