Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman to support our underground distribution crews. This entry-level position focuses on assisting with construction, repair, and maintenance of underground electrical systems under the supervision of a Foreman.

You will work outdoors in all weather, operate and assist with heavy equipment, and participate in on-call rotations and overtime as needed. A valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain a CDL within 60 days are required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain safety focus and PPE usage.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel and work outside standard hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair underground distribution systems.
• Help install and repair underground facilities and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and weather.
• Available for outages, storms, emergencies, and on-call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE guidelines.
