Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman to assist the team in building, repairing, and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems. You will report to the Foreman and perform essential tasks in diverse weather conditions at outdoor sites.

The role involves performing physical labor, handling equipment maintenance, and supporting outages or emergencies. A valid driver''s license is required, with the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license required and ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended periods at job sites, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction and maintenance on underground distribution systems with safety first.
• Install and repair underground facilities, conductors, and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment such as backhoes, trenchers, and pulling equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and during outages or emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE usage; inspect PPE and rubber goods as required.
• Perform rigorous physical labor as part of daily tasks.
