Job summary

Pike Electric LLC seeks a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew on new builds, repairs, and preventive work while prioritizing safety and following Foreman instructions.

The role requires travel, outdoor work in all weather, and flexibility for outages, storms, and emergency callouts. Valid driver’s license with CDL within 60 days is needed, plus ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and environments.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, repairing, and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems.
• Perform new construction and maintenance of underground distribution systems.
• Inspect PPE and follow all safety protocols.
• Maintain excavation equipment such as backhoes, trenchers, and excavators.
• Be available for outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
