Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Groundman to support our team in building, repairing and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems. You will report to the Foreman and participate in safe, physical field work.

Responsibilities include assisting with construction and maintenance, operating and maintaining excavation equipment, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Willingness to travel and work overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, maintenance and repair of underground electrical distribution systems.
• Support installation of underground facilities, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and during outages or emergencies.
