Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to assist in constructing, repairing and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems. You will report to the Foreman and work with a crew to install and repair underground facilities and related hardware.

This role requires willingness to travel, heavy lifting, and working outdoors in varied weather conditions, with potential on-call duties and overtime. Safety comes first, with PPE and equipment inspections mandatory.

Qualifications

• Safety protocols and PPE use knowledge.
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, repairing and maintaining underground distribution systems.
• Install and repair underground facilities, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain and operate excavation equipment and pulling gear.
• Work outdoors in extreme weather and participate in on-call rotations.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE use; inspect PPE and rubber goods.
