Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is hiring Groundman to support construction, repair, and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems. You will aid the crew, operate and maintain equipment, and assist in safe, efficient project execution.

Ideal candidates will have a valid driver’s license, the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days, and be prepared for travel and extended work hours including outages and emergencies. This is a hands-on, physical labor role in various outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required; ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, maintenance, and repair of underground distribution systems.
• Support installation of underground facilities, conductors, and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in extreme weather and variable conditions.
• Participate in on-call outages, storms, and emergencies as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE usage.
