Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support the construction, repair, and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew, operate and maintain equipment, and perform physically demanding tasks in diverse outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required with ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, emergencies, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist construction, maintenance and repair of underground distribution systems.
• Help install and repair underground facilities, conductors, and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in varying and extreme environmental conditions.
• Respond to outages, storms, emergencies, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements, including insulated protective cover usage.
