Job summary

Chain Electric Company is seeking a Groundman to help prepare vehicles with the right tools and materials for power line projects. The role supports Lineman in construction, repair, maintenance and storm restoration, ensuring safety and efficiency on worksites.

Ideal candidates travel 100% and work irregular hours; must hold a CDL-A, own hand tools, and have a strong driving record. Training provided on-site with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Willing to travel 100% and work irregular hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must possess a valid CDL-A driver’s license and live within one hour of Richland, MS.
• No intrastate restriction (K) on CDL; strong driving record required.
• Must own hand tools and be physically capable of demanding construction duties.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Organizes vehicles with tools and materials to support daily jobs.
• Assists Lineman in power line construction, repair, maintenance and storm restoration.
• Prepares equipment and worksites for tasks; maintains and stocks trucks.
• Operates a forklift and other tools; uses hand and power tools safely.
• Keeps work areas clean; drives Chain vehicles as needed.
