Centuri Construction Group, Inc. is hiring a Groundman to support its electrical line construction crews. You will learn safety procedures, assist with material handling, and help keep sites organized and safe.

CDL-eligible candidates are preferred and a CDL permit must be acquired within 60 days of hire. The role involves learning the basics of line construction, maintaining equipment, and completing required safety trainings.

Competenze

• CDL Class A license preferred; must acquire CDL permit within 60 days of hire.
• Completion of an accredited apprentice program is preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand minimum approach distances.

Becoming a Groundman is the first step in starting your career as an electrical worker. You will concentrate on learning safety procedures, making up material, stocking trucks and assisting other crew members. A desire to learn the skills of a Lineman is essential.

Hitch schedule is available- 8 days on/ 6 days off.

CDL strongly preferred or ability to acquire CDL permit within 60 days of hire.

• All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
