Job summary

Centuri Group is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our field team in Louisiana. The role involves basic welding, repairing and overhauling truck components, and servicing equipment at job sites. Strong work ethic, safety awareness, and ability to learn our standard procedures are essential.

You will also maintain repair logs, participate in safety training, and may perform lineman duties as needed. CDL is preferred or can be pursued within 60 days of hire; occasional travel to sites required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must meet the requirements for Mechanic level I.
• Skilled in mechanical operations including welding, vehicle and small equipment repair.
• CDL strongly preferred or ability to acquire CDL permit within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to follow through on tasks.
• Possess a customer service attitude.
• Excellent multitasking, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to learn standard processes and procedures.
• Desire to learn and commit to quality work with safety first.
• Occasional travel to job sites for repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic welding tasks.

At Linetec our Mechanics bring a strong base of mechanical knowledge and experience including with tools, equipment, and vehicles. You should possess a great work ethic, a willingness to learn new machines, and be accustomed to the mechanic’s trade. You will encompass a variety of functions that are critical to the success of Linetec.

What You'll Do
