Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support building, repairing and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew and report to the Foreman, performing physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions.

The role requires a valid driver’s license with potential CDL within 60 days, willingness to travel, and the ability to work extended hours including weekends and emergencies. Safety is a priority in all duties and operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License; ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, maintenance and repair of underground distribution systems.
• Help install and repair underground facilities, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and be available for outages, storms and emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols, wear PPE and communicate using signals; perform rigorous physical labor.
