Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support underground distribution work. You will assist the crew with construction, repair and maintenance tasks while prioritizing safety and proper PPE.

This role requires a valid driver's license, willingness to travel, and ability to perform physical work outdoors in all weather. Overtime, on-call duties, and out-of-state assignments may be required as part of the job.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety protocols including PPE
• Rigorous physical labor required
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, repair and maintenance of underground distribution systems
• Help install and repair underground facilities and related hardware
• Maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators)
• Work outdoors in extreme weather and conditions
• Be available for outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotation
• Follow PPE guidelines and safety procedures at all times
• Inspect PPE and rubber goods to ensure safety readiness
• Understand when to wear PPE and protect yourself accordingly
• Perform physical labor as part of the team
