Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to join our field team supporting underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew in building, repairing, and maintaining equipment under the Foreman's supervision.

This entry‑level role requires a valid driver’s license, willingness to travel, and the stamina for rigorous outdoor work in all weather. Overtime, weekend shifts, and on‑call rotations are common.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair underground distribution systems with safety first.
• Install and repair underground facilities, conductors, and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and be available for outages and on-call rotations.
