Job summary

Engtal partners with a Boston-area General Contractor to fill a Multifamily Superintendent role in field operations. The role leads day-to-day field operations on ground-up multifamily and mixed-use developments, coordinating with PMs and ownership.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years in commercial construction, strong subcontractor management, and a track record delivering projects in Greater Boston. Competitive salary, bonus, 401(k) with match, PTO and vehicle allowance offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent.
• Strong background in ground-up multifamily construction.
• Experience with wood-frame, podium, or similar residential building systems.
• Proven ability to manage projects from foundations through turnover.
• Strong subcontractor management and scheduling capabilities.
• Experience working on projects throughout Greater Boston preferred.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leading all day-to-day field operations.
• Managing subcontractors and trade partners.
• Developing and maintaining project schedules and look-aheads.
• Coordinating site logistics and material deliveries.
• Leading subcontractor coordination and weekly field meetings.
• Maintaining site safety and quality standards.
• Reviewing drawings and identifying constructability issues.
• Coordinating inspections and working with local authorities.
• Managing punch list, turnover, and project closeout.
• Working closely with Project Managers and ownership to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
