Job summary

Actalent seeks a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities for complex ground-up and renovation projects in dense urban environments around Cambridge, MA. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on schedule and to high quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive field experience, and excellent communication with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of superintendent experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with dense urban environments, occupied neighborhoods, and complex site logistics.
• OSHA 10 certification and Massachusetts CSL license.
• Experience with multifamily, mixed-use, and ground-up projects.
• Strong leadership and communication with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction activities and act as primary field representative for assigned projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with Project Management.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel for timely execution.
• Conduct daily site inspections for quality, safety, and adherence to documents.
• Identify and resolve schedule conflicts and field challenges.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance on site.
• Lead meetings with subcontractors and safety teams.
• Review drawings and specifications for accurate field execution.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Manage logistics, access, deliveries, storage, and sequencing.
• Oversee punch lists, turnover, and closeout activities.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff.
